Basic Life Support (BLS) is a course offered to healthcare professionals to make them competent to provide emergency medical care to victims in any situation. BLS training gives these professionals basic skills to help a victims sustain their vital signs during cardiac arrest, drowning or choking before they are taken to hospital. The BLS certified professionals are trained to manage the victim’s airway, breathing and circulation. They use non-invasive techniques such as CPR (in order to come out oxygenation to vital organs and enhance recovery) and will not involve medicines in order to avoid death or internal damage.
